• "Sunny Days" with guitarist DIEGO FIGUEIREDO
• and "Young At Heart"
from her new CD IT'S A GOOD DAY
  released thru Mack Avenue Records

• And More!

We'll listen to four renditions of
"Autumn In New York"
by VERNON DUKE
with performances by:

• CHARLIE PARKER (1946)
• FRANK SINATRA (1949)
• SARAH VAUGHAN (1956)
• and KLEA BLACKHURST (2005)

“Autumn in New York” has become a jazz standard.
It was composed by VERNON DUKE in 1934
for the Broadway musical THUMPS UP! which opened on December 27, 1934
and introduced in the show by J. HAROLD MURRAY.
While there doesn't seem to be a recording by him of “Autumn in New York”,
so I thought it would be interesting to listen to another recording by J. Harold Murray
so we can have an example of his voice and style.
